Later, Karan, unable to cope with the effects of the accident, gradually begins to lose his mind. However, this fact does not incriminate him in any way rather it is revealed that his friend had lied to cover up an affair with Meera. After any doubts about Preeti are cleared up, Karan reveals that he had found out that she was cheating on him with Sunny. She delivers an apology that makes him suspicious of her. When they go to the hospital, Karan is introduced to a girl named Preeti who is also being treated for injuries sustained in the accident. Meanwhile, Karan and Meera are first robbed by Sunny and then hit by a car.
Karan confronts Sunny at a hotel room, and as a result of his anger, the two have a fist fight. It is during this time that it is revealed that Meera has been cheating on Karan with his friend Sunny Singh. As they head back from a trip to Goa with Karan's friends, they stop at a local restaurant where he meets up with his friend, Juhi Chawla. The story follows a young couple Karan (Sidharth Malhotra) and Meera (Alia Bhatt) who have been in a relationship for two years. The film is a remake of the 2011 Korean movie "I Saw the Devil" directed by Kim Ji-woon. All the songs of TE3N are composed by Pritam and all the lyrics are penned by Irshad Kamil. It was released on 9 March 2013 to critical acclaim with gross collection of ₹2 billion (US$29 Million) at the box office. Alia Bhatt plays the protagonist Karan Kashyap's love interest in the movie. The film is based on the 2010 murder case of Harshvardhan Tiwari, the son of Delhi cricket association member Rajesh Tiwari (Sidharth Malhotra).
